Aftercare Support

Aftercare Support is a 6 month program in which the parents supervise the teens after they have completed JYA and returned home. This helps the student transition back into the home while encouraging them to maintain the good habits they developed at JYA.

  • The parents have weekly contact with the Aftercare Support director for the first three months.
  • Parents and students will also be able to call the Aftercare Support director at anytime during office hours.
  • The Aftercare Support director will review the evaluation sheets filled out by the parents.
  • The parents will have discussions with the Aftercare Support director concerning the progress and status of the student.
  • The Aftercare Support director will help integrate the students into youth groups and church activities (if the parents approve and the student desires a Christian environment).
  • The Aftercare Support director will notify the students and parents of upcoming events in which the student can participate.
